In a post from Sister Zinke (wife to Sister Jen's mission president in Japan), she commented:
We were gone most of January traveling the mission for interviews. These pictures will give you an idea of how beautiful the countryside is this time of year. They were taken as we were driving across Honshu towards the Sea of Japan. One thing that was interesting…Japan has lots of tunnels through the mountains. We entered a tunnel from one side where the weather was just fine…and came out the other side where it was snowing like crazy with a lot of snow piled on the ground!
